Spring has sprung and London is opening! After a long winter with many restrictions, you can now see and feel the excitement for the months ahead in the air. People start visiting parks, sitting in cafes and walking down the sunny high streets, sunglasses on, sipping their lattes. Slowly restrictions are being eased and more and more life seems to be returning to normal.
The government has provided a roadmap out of lockdown, so we can, in a few months have a safe and full reopening of the city and what it has to offer. We’ve been through steps 1, 2 and 3 and now you can sit in parks in groups of maximum six people or 2 households. Why not try some of our beautiful parks for some picnic and drinks in the sun? Regents’ Park and Primrose Hill are two of the most beautiful parks in North London. Check them out here: https://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/the-regents-park
Tired of cooking to yourself or getting food delivered? We are also allowed to sit outside to enjoy a drink and some food with our friends and boy it feels so good to sit down, look at a menu and order food! I know I missed this, didn’t you? Here is a handy list of the best places to eat alfresco with your group of maximum 6 people or two households: https://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/londons-best-outdoor-dining
Do make sure you book it first – the whole of London have been eagerly waiting for this moment and now that the sun decided to show its face these places get booked up pretty quickly.
There are two more steps left to go – 17th May you will be able to dine in, go to swimming pools and exercise classes and on the 21st June if all goes well most restrictions on social contact will cease to exist! Hooray.
This is the best time to start planning your trip to London. It’s heating up and opening up! What are you waiting for?
